How to Get There & Getting Around
Siquijor doesn't have a commercial airport for large planes, so you have to arrive by sea. Here is the easiest way to do it:
- The Dumaguete Route: Fly into Dumaguete City from Manila or Cebu. From the airport, take a quick tricycle ride to the Dumaguete Port.
- The Ocean Jet Ferry: Book a ferry ticket online in advance (approx. 3,200 PHP for roundtrip tourist class from Cebu/Bohol, or much cheaper if coming directly from Dumaguete). The ride from Dumaguete to Siquijor is only about 45 minutes.
- Scooter Rental: The absolute best way to explore the island! Right at the Siquijor port, you can rent a Honda ADV or a standard scooter for around 800 PHP per day to explore at your own pace.

Where to Eat in Siquijor
For a small island, Siquijor has a surprisingly fantastic food scene. Be sure to add these spots to your list:
- Dolce Amore: If you are craving Italian, this is the finest on the island. Their premium cheese and half-and-half pizzas (like Paliton and Four Cheese) are incredible.
- Happitan Restaurant: Located near Cambugahay Falls. A must-visit for authentic Filipino food. Try their super crispy Lechon Kawali and sour, comforting Fish Sinigang.
- Lilibeth's Bakery: A highway stop famous for its premium 'Torta' (a dense, moist Filipino cake/pastry) for just 30 PHP.
- Shaka: A popular cafe near San Juan offering beautiful, healthy, and Instagram-worthy peanut butter and banana smoothie bowls.
“Paliton Beach is special because of its simplicity. There are no loud bars or party vibes—just the sound of the waves, the soft sand, and a quiet pause at the end of the day as the sky turns golden.”
